Leah + Kevin :: Nashville Wedding Trailer

We were finally able to meet Leah and Kevin back in January, and we are so glad we did! We knew at that moment that their wedding day was gonna be an incredible one. We started off at 8am capturing Leah and Kevin getting ready at the Brentwood Hilton, followed by their first look. We then headed off to a nearby park for some beautiful fall colored photos with the bride, groom and wedding party. As you can tell in the trailer, we had an absolute blast with them! After a quick lunch we headed to Riverside Chapel for one of the most moving wedding ceremonies we have ever experienced, which included a beautiful song written and sung by the groom himself. The ceremony was followed by a dessert reception next door, then a dance filled after party that night. Around 10:30 as the night was coming to a close, we were able to show this trailer to Leah, Kevin, and the remaining guests. Everyone went absolutely crazy and loved the trailer! We are so happy for Kevin and Leah and pray they have an incredibly blessed marriage. Thanks for letting us be a part! Thanks for watching and click the like button below!

Elizabeth + Jonathan :: Nashville Wedding Trailer

I don’t know where to start with Elizabeth and Jonathan! We had such an incredible and hilarious time with them last Saturday on their wedding day. We started off at the Hutton Hotel capturing their preparations. Once the dress was on and a toast was made, we all headed over to the church for a gorgeous ceremony in downtown Nashville. Once the wedding was over we headed off for some photos down the road. Not only was there a Predators game that night, but another festival at Riverfront as well. Did that stop us? Nope! We just blocked off a side road and started our own photo shoot, angry drivers and all! The reception was held at One Eleven, a great rooftop venue on lower Broadway. Once they entered to the sounds of Scat Springs Band, the night didn’t stop! Towards the end of the night, we took them out to the street, walking up and down Broadway, which ended in a kiss right in the middle of the road. When we returned back inside, we were able to show them and their family this extended trailer we put together at the reception. We where also able to work with friends of ours, Phindy Studios for the first time, which was the icing on the cake for the day. Congrats to Elizabeth and Jonathan! Lacey + Taylor :: Cedarwood Wedding Trailer

Lacey and Taylor were a blast to be with this last Sunday! Their wedding day was held at Cedarwood in Nashville, Tennessee. We started the afternoon with Lacey and her bridesmaids getting ready at her mom’s home in downtown Nashville. Once we arrived at Cedarwood, Lacey and Taylor had an incredible first look moment followed by a hilarious and fun twenty minutes of capturing them together. The ceremony was held in the field outside and was beautiful with their vows they had personally written to each other. Afterwards it was non stop dancing with Craig Duncan and his band. Taylor and his groomsmen had quite a few hilarious dance moves out on the floor that night! We ended the night seeing them off in a rainstorm of sparklers. We were able to show them this trailer before they left that night. It was also great to work again with photographer Kristyn Hogan! Sierra + Tucker :: Nashville Wedding Highlight

It’s finally here! Sierra and Tucker’s highlight film was a blast to put together. We filmed their wedding back in March and if you haven’t seen their teaser, you can view it here. Sierra was actually my first 2nd shooter when I started filming weddings back in 2004! We’re so grateful to know Sierra and Tucker and we hope you enjoy their super energetic wedding highlight!

Technical Note: This video contains the new lens flare plugin by MotionVFX called mFlare for FCPx and Motion 5. I used the mFlare plugin in every shot of this video, sometimes very subtly, other times more evident. There are over 100 shots.

Melanie + Peter :: Philadelphia Wedding Trailer

This had to definitely be one of the most fun trips we have had as a team. Not only was the scenery and tree top covered roads breathtaking, but we were able to spend the weekend with Melanie and Peter, our incredibly fun, laid back, amazing couple. Our weekend began with Melanie and her bridesmaids getting ready at Paradigm Salon, while the groomsmen were at the Golden Plough Inn. After the salon, the girls headed back to Melanie’s parent’s home to finish getting ready as Peter and his groomsmen made their way over. Peter and Melanie then had their first look in front of friends and family, then we all took the trolly over to the beautiful Aldie Mansion for an outdoor ceremony under a giant oak tree. Well, as everything was set up and ready to begin, about five minutes before it was to start, a massive downpour began! All the guests were safe inside as we ran to save all of our camera and audio gear for the pouring rain! We finally made it inside with only minutes to reset, but the ceremony was beautiful with personally written vows between the bride and groom. The night ended after an incredible reception filled with dancing, toasts, a sushi bar and some really tasty desserts. So enjoy Melanie and Peter’s truly cinematic trailer, one we are really proud of! Oh yeah, and there was a photo booth…

Skyhook Photo Shoot :: Shot on RED MX

Last week we were able to do another photo shoot for Skyhook, a worship/rock band from Nashville, TN. We did a shoot last year around the same time and had a blast. This time around we were able to shoot on the RED One MX. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a 4k digital cinema camera that shoots high resolution 4k raw motion. Movies such as The Social Network and Pirates of the Caribbean 4 were shot using the same camera. Below are some of my favorite shots from the day, and since it was all motion too, I put together a quick video as well! Check out their website at skyhooktheband.com

B.et.a Albumette Release Show

In case you didn’t know, one of our team members, Matt Underwood, is a ridiculous guitar player! A few weeks ago, he played a show with new artist, B.et.a and the Neon Panthers, who was releasing her new “Albumette” at the show. Tori + Ben :: The Proposal

This was our second proposal to capture and we wish people would allow us to do it more, it’s such a cool moment! Ben and Tori’s engagement story begins with Tori taking a shopping trip out with some friends earlier in the day. While she was out, Ben got together his band mates and began to set up their gear and sound system in Tori’s backyard, which is a huge field. They practiced for a few hours and were ready as she rode up to where they were. As she exited the car, Ben began to play “Something” by George Harrison just as the sun began to set. When he was through, he got down on one knee and popped the question! Now we can’t wait to film their wedding!

REGGIE – Sneak Peek

Finally I can talk about a cool project I’ve have been working on the past few weeks! Reggie Dabbs has traveled as one of the most highly-sought after speakers internationally for over 20 years. Next spring, he is releasing his autobiography called REGGIE, published through Thomas Nelson and A Work of Life (written by himself and John Driver). I was asked a few weeks ago to take the book cover photo plus some promotional photos for the release. Here are some photos from the shoot as well as the first draft of the front cover! There are a lot more cool things to come from Reggie, so stay tuned… – Jeffrey
